MOOSEDAY

I know, I was on a roll there and then I disappeared again. I have a proper excuse this time though, I’m sick.

In the meantime, it’s my dog’s birthday today. He’s 2. He’s a man now.

Happy Birthday Moose!

THE WALRUS

Have you picked up the April issue of The Walrus yet? You should. Aside from quality writing on nice paper-stock, this issue also features my Walrus debut, something I’m excited about.

My assignment was to shoot a mosque located a few minutes north of the city. After some trial and error I discovered two things: boots would have been a good idea, and sometimes you have to run 100 feet into a snowy field to get the Canadiana inspired shot you want. Thank you wool socks. Oh and Brian Morgan for the assignment!

Check out the story here.

EYE WEEKLY DINNER & TOURNAMENT

Check out this week’s Eye Weekly for a nice little interview piece with Hunter Tura, President & CEO of Bruce Mau Design here in Toronto. Though it may be competing with Medieval Times, I do have a portrait on that there page.

These were all shot in and around the Bruce Mau offices on a balmy (well, above freezing temperatures at least) Friday afternoon. Though he’s a recent transplant to the city, and to Canada, Hunter appears to (somehow) be a Leaf fan, which can only be a good thing. Also, he’s like 6’4” so I wouldn’t want to say anything bad about him.

MORE LIES + TIFFANY

I should probably stop promising any form of regular updates since each time I do, even more time passes between posts. Having said that, I swear I should have a few updates in more rapid succession in the next week or so.

First up, here’s some portraits I did of a nice gal named Tiffany a week or two ago. She lives in a nice building and will rent you movies.
